CO₂ Emissions

CO₂ emissions have become a global concern over the last few decades. Atmospheric concentration levels of CO₂ have reached record highs, just recently exceeding 400ppm concentration, in contrast to the historic level of 280 ppm. Global CO₂ emissions are expected to further increase at alarming rates as energy consumption increases everywhere, especially in developing countries.

While the impact of CO₂ emissions on global warming may be debatable, there is no doubt that the increase in CO₂ emissions has breached the natural balance of oxygen and CO₂, making it an important topic on government agendas worldwide.
